There are instances where inspite of being surrounded by the crowd we feel alone and empty. Isn't it? Because it was never about the number of people we are woth but about those the number of people who understands us

This book is a charming yet thoughtful tale narrated in a humorous way revolving around the character of Kritidhara Pant aka Kittu.

As the novel begins we see Kittu in a dilemma and kinda frustrated over a magazine quiz which declared her a 'church mouse'~  one whose entire life is spent at the same place  and has no exposure to the world and in Kittu's case it does holds true as she left Lucknow only on 2 occasions. The first trip involved the last rites of her grandmother and second was a wedding, but she returned home to her mother's funeral and after that devastating incident she never left her house and now she stays in the house full of men.

Let's introduce with the 6 men in the house; we have Ravi Pant (her father) ,High BP or Hridyanath Brahma Pant (Grandfather) ,her twin brothers Shamik and Nishant, Bark Twain her dog who once used to be Bittu and Mr. P.G. Wodehouse unlike the blood and flesh people this gentleman is within a frame but I really enjoyed his quirky and funny replies anyway

Kittu inspite of living in the house full of people she still feels lonely the void always haunts her and she thinks noone could ever understand her, with whom she could possibly share her endless relationship issues, Maniac obsessions and simple aspirations  and she feels all alone in the world

This is a story of Kittu, her family ,her dramatic life and her emotions and dilemmas. This story was refreshing but at places it was bit dragged ,the slow pace that the book follows initially was flabbergasting. They are lot of banters between the characters which felt unnecessary and doesn't adds upto the story progression. It was in chapter 4 when I felt yeah the story is going somewhere.  Overall this was delightful contemporary family fiction. I liked the concept and the idea of the book. The writing style is easy and beginners' friendly would recommend it to everyone who wants to read a contemporary fiction that beholds sweet yet thoughtful story

This is an amazingly well researched account by the author who himself is a Kargil War Hero and served 20 years in the Indian Army. The Holy Trinity of Experience, Observation and Facts along with the author's own touch of wits made this inspiring book a informative as well as a delightful account

Tracing it's lines from the history when India was the World's richest province followed by China, which very well attracted greedy colonizers from overseas. And the talking about the british era when the condition of the Indians was pitiable, with lack of education, poverty and malnutrition. To present day, when India is emerging superpower with its economy being fifth largest position in the world.

He also stated how "India's biggest enemies are not our neighbouring countries but our own people, internal problems, corruption and loopholes in electoral process"

Portraying a straightforward and unapologetic distinction between history and myths, how Our history was written to give false glorification to the british empire, historians enjoyed their patronage for that. Yes, "they didn't colonise us to do charity or to play cricket" . Also tells about the aggressive, over ambitious yet achievable schemes and dreams, the hustles and its solution.

"History has taught us, there are no clear winners in any war." Despise war and talks about its calamities. Gives a insightful account of Galwan valley Clash, the border dispute, about Cov!d-19 and about the very special 'Make In India' project, Indigenious Artisan and Start ups in India about Agricultural and Tourism sector, the complications there and it's insightful solutions

The last chapter was Kargil Dairies it was painful to recollect those days of deaths and darkness. In this chapter he narrates about the horrors and gives a heartfelt Tributes to The Kargil Heroes and also to The Galwan, Uri and Pulwama Heros. And atlast there are famous qoutes by renowned personalities around the world about India and his favourite ones.

Also amazed to know All The Profits From this book is going to War Widows

The narrative was easy and slow paced, there was bits of unnecessary exaggeration at places which was flabbergasting. The plot building was steady building thr suspicious auro of the story. The thrilling engima was mild, what I liked the well depiction of emotional aspects of the characters. If you like reading thrillers you specifically a beginner in the genre you can certainly pick this book.

The story starts in 535 CE in the Great Pyramid of Giza giving us a intriguing aura of ages old folklore, history and along with comes the aura of suspense and mystery.
A young warrior sails from Egypt to a secret destination in India, carrying a mysterious package from the Great Pyramid. He guards a secret for which wars have been fought, for which men have staged the most ruthless massacres. The forces pf darkness are not far behind
Is that ancient prophecy coming true? Read this amazing story to know.

This book has everything that I love to read Suspense, thrill and aura of myths and age old legends. The story articulately connects between the two timelines; The 365 CE and Present Days , the transition between the two time period is very well defined. The blend of Egyptian Myth and Science fiction provides an intriguing aspects to the story. The characters and the plot is is well developed. Glimpses of bygone ages with present days being a fast paced thriller this book keeps the readers hooked till the Last pages.

The writing style is exquisite and suspense brewing up makes this book a page turner, inspite of being a book with 300+ pages I finished it in one sitting as the narrative and intriguing story line kept me glued till the last page. Recommended to everyone who loves to read a gripping suspense story with aura of mystery.

Myriad of emotions conquers our heart but it's only the one called Love that adorns the crown. Witnessing both mundane days and stromy nights, instances where our souls gets entangled with griefs, tragedies of unfilled dreams, laments of bygone days suppressed in our hearts to all , those take a leap and free your souls.. because as Siddhanth said, life is not a mere fullfillment of responsibility it's meant to be lived

๐…๐‘๐„๐„ ๐’๐Ž๐”๐‹๐’ ๐›๐ฒ ๐Œ๐š๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข ๐•๐ข๐ฃ๐š๐ฒ is one such feel good story filled with warm tears as well as warmth of love, later occupying the major part.
Revolving around Piya and Siddhanth and their bittersweet story of love and life. The story was character driven and very meticulously plotted.
Piya was a fun filled , sweet and charming girl still waiting for her calling to find out what she could best curve out of the life. Siddhanth is a philosopher and a environmentalist at a very young age who wants to change the world by taking small measures and also involving himself in various social works and is a non believer of the fact thay success lies abroad (Did I mention he is also my new fictional crush). His heart is filled with compassion and empathy and seed of that beauty he has sown in Piya's heart as well.
Piya and Siddhanth met on a fateful day of Ganesh Chaturthi on Marine Beach in Mumbai at a very strange situation and again the next day which was planned by them. Both felt a strong sense of security in each other's company and starts enwrapping their inner turmoils to eachother and endup healing eachother wounds, giving eachother the strength to face and cure the forbidden chaos in eachother's life and family that lies behind the superficial veil of happiness. But destiny was not that easy for them as well, a disastrous night and their path separated. When they finally met after 5 years will they be able to be as they were before to eachother.

Love is never easy, neither it was for them, caught in the trails and tribulations of life. Being a feel good story that gives you warmth. We can guess that their will be an happy ending but it's not the destination but the journey that matters. The why's and how's of the life and the way people hold eachother and heal eachothers souls that's matter.

Just like a cloudy sky is needed for us to admire the rainbow maybe griefs are needed to find every 'happily ever afters'. A cute story of innocent love finding it's way in two compassionate hearts and giving it's readers a warm hug.

๐Ÿ’ฎALL ROADS LEAD TO GANGA๐Ÿ’ฎ

That probably sums it all up. Time passes, and yet it doesn't pass (it is only you and I who are passing).

IT'S HARD TO REALISE THAT I'VE BEEN HERE ALL THESE years—forty summers and monsoons and winters and Himalayan springs—because, when I look back to the time of my first coming here, it really does seem like yesterday. That probably sums it all up. Time passes, and yet it doesn't pass (it is only you and I who are passing). The story of the Ganges, from her source to the sea, from old times to new, is the story of India's civilization and culture, of the rise and fall of empires, of great and proud cities, of adventures of man..

The way he paints the beauty of nature in the canvas of his words is magical and impeccable. Everytime I pick up a Ruskin Bond book pleasant scenic beauty of valleys, waterfall forest greenery and the soothing and calming picture of Nature starts playing in the back of my mind. Maybe it's the grandiose and simplicity of words that makes me feel like home and takes us to places that is devoid of cruelty and gruesome realities.

I have always believed that poetry have a mysterious ways to play with the chords of our heart and how when it gets synchronises with the chaos of our heart. As we found solance in words. Pandemonium of our heart fades in the labyrinth of emotions embedded in the words by the poet.

is one such poetry book that talks about those scattered thoughts of our mind which when collids forms a rhythm that sometimes gives us the power to spread our tattered wings and hope , sometimes brings back the glooms and memories of demons lurking behind us in those dark pasts some of memories some of nostalgia some accomplishments.

Some poems find it's way out of the emptiness of heart when all its feelings are drained and the void created reminding us of memories and feelings unnamed and incomprehensible overcasting our beautifully soul that still tries to make noise in the vaccum.

Some poems talks about moments and makes me wonder how true it is that moments are what we are made of, moments shape our realities and when these moments are let uncontrolled will control our minds and illusion will rule over our lives.

It talks about the dreams that we keep looked in our minds and the uncertainties of life where happiness is just a vacation also talks about bygone days and places that till tells a story and reminds us of another and griefs that now sometimes comes to our memories but leaves witha smile on our lips because now we won't be a part of the same story.

Some poems are just the reflection of our realities and our society in the disguise of words and verses that tends to give rhythm in the face of cruelty. The desire of peace and freedom but in this cruel world peace is just an illusion and freedom it's a privilege

It's not only about reading the beautiful verses but finding yourself in those powerful expression of words and feel certain emotions that got covered with dust and cobwebs

I would recommend this book to all poetry lovers who are not a beginner in this genre because to this book demands a mature mind to decipher the metaphors
