♠️This book first captured my interest because from Amber Heard to Rhea Chakraborty we have seen how the social media declare its own narrative of who's a victim and who's a perpetrator even before the legal system does which is aptly given the title of social media trial where we hardly get to see the other aide of the story.

♠️This book also covers one of the controversial events that led to Mr. Boria Majumdar who is an Indian sports journalist, sports historian and writer got banned for 2 years by the Board of Control for Cricket in India in 2022 for allegedly threatening a reputed cricketer and finally now he has come out with his side of the story and narrates the version of the events unfolded for him in this book after the ban has ended in 2024.

♠️This book comes with the very raw and personal account of the author narrating about the nightmarish time he went through when there were millions of tweets of abuse for days and not only those came towards him but also his family and all because of some false and tactically concealed published messages published by a cricketer of repute though the book doesn't mentions the name of the cricketer one can do a little digging in the internet to get the background of it.

♠️Social media is a popular be it for bringing out the truth or manipulating it. Generally used of the later and specially if you are someone with huge dedicated following the marking your words as truth won't be difficult when you have a loyal fanbase to jump on the bandwagon of hate without putting the thought and mind into considering what is being shown is the ultimate truth or not without any investigation or judgement and sometimes even at the face of truth one has to bend their opinions according to opinions of netizens because of image issue.

♠️Though many times this social media brings about good like in case of the recent pune-porsche incident but it also has the power to destroy career, personal life, mental health etc and drastically impact someone's life who is innocent like happens in this case. The author loses his peaceful life, faced harassment both upon himself and his family, lost people who were once close to him all because of an distorted tweet posted out of context to import false messages and the narrative therefore curved out of it by the social media trial.

♠️This book in its elaborate and raw narrative acts as an eye-opener for the controversy and becomes the closure while owning the narrative which turned his life upside down since the media fed on the cricketer's narrative and turned the witch hunt on him. The writing was very easily comprehensible one written in a documentary style that felt like a heartfelt conversation with the author releasing pent up emotions, bringing about incredible insights portraying an unwavering determination to tell this side of the story. Loved reading this book and would recommend everyone who has witnessed the controversy of 2022 or loves reading memoirs.
